Printed with ink - not decals Great detail. And as you can see, IF have grown with 200 and many more followed, leaving Gemini with no choice to but catch up with 200 scale themselves when the 250 stuff simply stopped selling.Ĭorgi's 144th range is too big to have a large collection (unless you want to keep it stored in boxes in the shed/attic/garage etc. The highest quality airplane models created in 1:72, 1:200, 1:250 & 1:400 scales. Not sure who was the next big die cast name to go with 200 scale, but I think it was IF. In the event, the choice of 200 scale by (Old) Western Models around 1994 proved popular with collectors, and CAM followed suit. The range was planned as a natural follow on from the die cast Aeromini range (Farmingdale USA) AND the CAM range of Airomini also in 250 scale. The only reason I can attribute for its absence is the large lumps of die-cast metal have cost implications for shipping. It has a relative large following in plastic kits and military models (both land & air). I am surprised as to why 1/144 didn't "take off".
